A very important randomized study published in NEJM. The study shows that giving ATG in sibling tranplantation reduces the risk of chronic GvHD and improves immunsuppression free OS.

It must be mentioned that in Patraswe give T-cell deplertion with low dose Campath and post Tx CsA in sibling transplantations instead of the "standard" CsA / MTX protocol.

This study (which is the first randomized study) proves that our strategy is correct. In line with the published study we observe low incidence of chronic GvHD.  

Thius study and the study of Finke in unrelated transplantations denote how important is to use T cell depletion in trnasplantation in order to reduce chronic GvHD.
